KYC & Account Verification

1. PURPOSE OF VERIFICATION
To ensure the safety of our infrastructure and prevent fraudulent activity, Hostaffin implements a "Know Your Customer" (KYC) and account verification process. This helps us protect our legitimate customers from IP blacklisting, resource abuse, and security threats originated by malicious actors.
2. WHEN VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED
While most accounts are activated automatically, a manual verification check may be triggered by our automated fraud detection system. Triggers include, but are not limited to:
- Use of a VPN, proxy, or Tor during registration.
- Inconsistencies between account data and payment method data.
- High-risk geographic locations.
- Orders for high-value services (e.g., Dedicated Servers, bulk IPv4).
- History of previous abuse or chargebacks.
3. REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
If your account is flagged for verification, we may request one or more of the following:
- Government-issued ID: A clear photo or scan of a valid Passport, National ID, or Driver's License.
- Proof of Address: A recent utility bill or bank statement showing your registered name and address.
- Payment Verification: A photo of the credit card used (with middle digits masked) or a screenshot of the verified payment gateway account.
- Business Verification: Trade license or certificate of incorporation (for business accounts).
4. DATA PRIVACY AND SECURITY
Any documents submitted for verification are used solely for the purpose of confirming your identity. These documents are stored in an encrypted environment with strictly limited access. Once verification is complete, documents are typically purged after 30 days unless required by law for financial audit purposes.
5. FAILURE TO VERIFY
If a requested verification is not completed within 48 hours, or if the documentation provided is found to be forged, altered, or fraudulent:
- The order will be cancelled.
- The payment will be refunded (minus any transaction fees).
- The account will be permanently closed.
6. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
Hostaffin reserves the right to refuse service to any individual or entity at our sole discretion, even if verification is successful, if we believe that providing service poses a risk to our network or reputation.
